OH YEAH!!! I've got them! They're really good. Has anyone read Old Magic by her? That's quite good, though not as good as The Dark, etc.

Well I've got a few books that I love and I wonder if anyone else has read. ~Sabriel/Lirael/Abhorsen by Garth Nix Truly wonderful... and I really like them because of the strong female lead characters. It is good to see a girl as the big hero in stories like that. Has anyone else read it? Any thoughts on it? ~Witch Child by Celia Rees- I read this a while ago, along with the sequel Sorceress. I liked it a lot and would recommend it. Anyone else read it? ~Inkheart by Cornelia Funke- I just finished reading it and loved it. Not sure why but I imagined the character of Dustfinger to be a cross between Aragorn (from LOTR) and Sirius (from HP). Anyone else read it? If not, you should! ~Duchessa Arianna~

Wow, we've discussed Garth Nix The Old Kingdom series so many times! Seriously, it has been brought up in practically every reading thread.... Loadsa people like it, including myself. I love Witch Child, though the front cover's really haunting..... whenever I put it down, I have to turn it over. It's quite a good read though a bit.... well, I can't really explain but a bit dull... not exactly, but the style of writing was, I think. I'm confused. But I didn't like Sorceress. I didn't think it was as well written as the first. Plus, I liked Speckled Bird. And Inkheart.... I have read! Have you read the sequel? Inkspell. It's better, and it's more for a teen audience than the first, which I thought was a bit childish, though fun and well written. Eagerly awaiting number three!

Yeah I know what you are trying to say about Witch Child. After a while it gets slightly boring. I think that it has more boring times in Sorceress actually, rather than Witch Child. I agree about the front cover too... I loved the character of Speckled Bird and when I read what happened I was like...nooooooooooooooo! Yeah I think the Garth Nix has a lot of fans! No I haven't. When was it published because my library doesn't have any record of anything like that on the database? I know I've seen something like that in WH Smiths or somewhere like that. I am glad it's more for the teen audience... does it still have the quotes at the start of each chapter like Inkheart did? (I loved that idea of putting quotes at the start. Very unique I thought! ) ~Duchessa Arianna~

Well, I did like Inkspell better, though I thought Inkheart was better written. The reason I liked Inkspell was because the plot was more interesting and there was much more action. Plus Meggie's cooler when she's older.

Haven't read 'the lost' but i read 'the stolen' by alex shearer like 3 years ago but I didn't really like it. i read Da Vinci Code. i highly recommend it, it was very good and the story is very interesting. has anyone read books by Kai Meyer like the flowing queen or wave walkers and the sequels of them? and there's another one but i think it isn't out in English yet. but i can really recommend them they are all very good.

I've read The Lost... it's kind of strange, but it was still quite good. I read The Da Vinci code - it had some good ideas in it, but I didn't think it was very well written... or maybe that's my mother's influence! And I am completely in love with His Dark Materials! They are really good!

I loved this book..it's really thrilling I liked the idea of this country in the future an the clones..I think it shows us what would happen in the future when we don't watch out.
