This is a thread where you can ask if anyone has read some of your other favorite books. Maybe the people in here have nore than just 1 book connection.

K anyone read any of the following books: Stravaganza (no just kidding ;D) The Book Of Dead Days The Prophecy Of The Gems The Looking Glass Wars And the list could go on for ages, but I'll just list the books I bought with last month's allowance (try as I might to save it, my allowance always goes on books.... don't let me in a bookshop with all my allowance intact - 10/10 times I come out with it all gone.... )

"Once upon a marigold"? Ahem. Let me go look that up somewhere...
OK, just found it on Amazon, by Jean Ferris, right? It doesn't have a description though. But the front cover looks cool enough.

And you SHOULD try and get your hands on those books I listed - they're brilliant. And The Prophecy Of The Gems is written by a French fourteen year old - it was translated. Absolutely amazing writing...

OK, I'll try and get hold of a copy sometime soon.... along with Trickster's Choice. I'm trying to persuade Mum that it's in her interests to buy me books...... like she used to before I read them in five seconds flat.... Now she doesn't think it's worthwhile. Seriously, I ordered Three Protector Of The Small books, Ella Enchanted, Predator's Gold, And The Dark Flight Down, and I read them in two days. Got them on June 1st and I'd read them by 10.00pm June 2nd. So Mum doesn't get them for me anymore.... *looks bitter and thinks of days gone by*

Seeing as most people are posting similar books, I'm going to reach out into the far corners of my mind to try and find ome slightly more unusual books to recomend. Ok. First up, 'feeling sorry for celia' if only because it has a picture of a lemon on the front. Also, It's really well written romance, its cute, its funny, its bittersweet... It rocks my socks. Next up, 'The Solitaire Mystery' and 'Sofies World' by Jostein Gardner. They're both fairly well known. Sophies world was written for teenageres as an introduction to philosphy, and The solitaire mystery is another philosphy book involving mysteriouse dwarves with cold hands, a magnifying glss, many generations of bakers, a tiny book inside a sticky bun, a pack of cards and a search for a missing mother. Its an amazing surreal book, and I can't recomend either of them highly enough. White Oleander - for Older readers. The story of Astrid as she travels from foster family to foster family after her mother murders her boyfriend with White Oleander. it's an amazing, AMAZING, heart wrenching book - WAY better than the film. Its beautiful. 'What my mother doesn't know' and 'stop pretending: what happened when my big sister went crazy' Two brilliant books by sonya sonnes. In falling rhythm poetry. Its so well written, that you begin to forget that you're reading poetry. And she captures teenager-dom so perfectly. and of course, the Garth Nix series - Sabriel, Lireal, and Abhorsen. Also, if you like the Alex Rider series, you should read the Cherub Series (starting with 'The Recruit') which is awesome. Thats everything off the top of my head...

Hmm... I love books =). I have read these from your lists: Tamora Pierce (eeek, love them) Mary Hoffman (... umm... why ask?...) Harry Potter (No brainer) and- A Few Kathy Hopkins (umm, ok)
I'd make a list, but I don't have many books cause I read all the ones on here =). I do suggest Bras and Broomsticks (don't kno the author) cause it is very good. I just got a Tamora Pierce book (third in Immortal) and another one.... I totally agree with Tru on the mom thing. Mine threatened not to buy me any before I go to camp this summer, which is HORRIBLE! But I'm gonna get payed for watching a cat across the street (although they aren't very good at paying...) nyway I have to go, my father is bugging me to get off. Bye all! =)

Yeah, it's called "Girl, 16, Absolute Torture". Hilarious - and every bit as good as the first one - if you liked the first one, that is!
