you and me both rosie
looking back now..i cant say i like Chris Columbus' first two. But i think his aim was to capture that childhood magic for the younger audience. Cuaron and Newall seemed to have done well in capturing the darker side of things, especially with film 4...

Looks soooooooo... good. I don't know if it's one of the ones you linked, but there's a trailer linked on www.veritaserum.com that looks awesome!

o contraire lavita, i didn't like the darker sides that have been predominiant (i used up my knowledge of big words 3 words into the post, i'm not quite sure what predominiant means, but it sounded right ) in the third and possibly the 4th movie. i think that even at the darkest times, there should be some magical wonder and stuff. like in the 3rd movie, when harry found out sirius was his godfather, I think harry's joy was not accurately portrayed. oh i don't know but i enjoyed the first two better as films even though the 3rd and 4th books r my faves. but don't get me wrong, the 4th movie looks awesome. another thing that bugged me about the 3rd movie was that the werewolf looked like a demented monkey of a kind. i thought it was difficult to tell a werewolf from a reg. wolf, but if it was me, I wouldn't have any problems identifying the werewolf if they all looked like that! rosie

Yeah I saw both trailers heheh...it looks awesome! I gotta agree with Lavita...the first two weren't that great...but they were more accurate than the third..they just changed loads of stuff...the third one had..kind of a cooler style to it..but I think that the fourth is going to be the best of both worlds. The Cuaron and Columbus versions r gonna come together for the Newell version!! mWAHAH!! ..at least that's how i see it...good accuracy with wicked style..heheh
I can't wait for GOF now and..heheh..luckily for me i might not have to wait as long!! My cousin's boyfriend works at ..this place that has to do with films..i dont know exactly what he does..but he gets free tickets a lot!! for advance showings!! AYYAYAYYAYAY!! ...he said if he got any tickets that i could have em!! WOOHOO!!

ya, it looked awesome, i saw the making of the movie the other day and all the dancing looks fab, ron's suit looks funny! Its sooo annoying because i havn't read the fourth book in ages so i wont know what is happening in the movie and its the only one in the series that i dont have, do you guys think its better to have read teh book recently before seeing the movie or be surprised? i think the third movie was the best and this onw should be even better, but when i looked on the website fleur, cedric and victor look really old, how old are they supposed to be?? oh well, i still have to wait until November... tAsH

Fleur, Cedric and Victor are supposed to 17, 18 at the most. It's funny because some people said that Fleur looked too young..but Clemence Poesy is 22, haha!
I think that it's better to read the book before seeing the movie though...at least that's what i plan to do after the disaster of the third..im gonna make sure i can critisize every little thing they change...im a sucker for accuracy and hate it when they change stuff, particularly things that didn't need to be changed. I mean, ok I kno they need to cut out some things..but stick to everything that you possibly can. Like hermione's robes...PERIWINKLE BLUE!!! WHY WAS THAT HARD TO COMPLY WITH!?!?!? Also..note: ROBES not DRESS...oh well..
Actually even if ur not like me..i think u should read it again before seeing it anyways...cus it's nice to have it in perspective and see how they did in comparison...even if it is from a much saner point of view than mine..hee hee hee...

thanks for that, you're probably right... i didn;t read the third one before going to see it at the movies and as soon as i got home i re-read it... mmm i forgot about that when writing my earlier post... its really annoying because the only ones at the shops are paperback and i want a hardcover... Alex, you are sooo right about the screw ups, hermione's hair isn't right and the 'dress'?? what do you guys think dress robes look like? i couldn't picture them... ttfn tAsH
