...author of Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, Drums of Autumn, The Fiery Cross, and A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Whew. Anyone read her books? If you haven't, I reccomend working your way through the cumulative 2700-pages of books one, two and three--seriously, each book is practically 900 pages. But the last three kinda suck. Somewhat cheesy romance/historical fiction novels that involve a 20th century WWII nurse passing through a stone circle (think Stonehenge in Scotland) into the 1700s, where she meets her soulmate, who's this freakin' perfect Highlander--who could never in a gazillion years be a real man--and all of their lovely adventures. Like I said, the first three books are fun, when they're both young and the author hasn't run out of ideas...then we get to numbers four, five and six when Gabaldon is grasping at straws and creating plot spurts in a desperate attempt to keep her audience.
