I may have joined to late to hear any threads about him, but I love his books, so I want to hear other opinions.

I've read the Old Kingdom series, and I've read all the Keys Of the kingdom series that are out. I didn't like The Ragwitch though. I thought that was kinda poor. But the best book by him was Sabriel, I think..

Yar, it was the most well-written..... and the most understandable. A really good read! And it wasn't too long, either. I generally like long books, but I found Lirael a bit tedious.

I didn't like Lirael very much. I thought Abhorsen was too sad (Not the dog!!!!!!! *cries*). So Sabriel it is!

i absolutely love garth nix...he is deffinately one of my fav authors..my favourite hav to be sabriel, lirael and aborsen (the old kingdom trilogy)..and i wud love to be sabriel if the book was ever to be made into a movie..hehe ;D ..but neways oda den dat i found ragwitch was pretty crap compared to the old kingdom trilogy and the keys to old kingdom series..which are of course mr monday, grim tuesday, drowned wednesday and da next one is also out tho i cnt remember the name of it...ive only just read the first two and havent yet had time to read the other two, but they are really good, tho the old kingdom trilogy i would say is better...if u love to read fantasy books then you should deffinately check out garth nix's books..they are well worth the read!!
