This book seems to be a book that you either love or hate, so I was wondering what other people think. I, personally, enjoyed it, but not as much as a lot of other books. It wasn't the worst in the world, though.

i haven't read it in a while, but this is what i think:
i think it's an awesomely condensed version of LotR fellowship of the ring! i seriously do, i hated fellowship, but eragon was so much cooler and reminded me of that book that i hate but much better! it was weird b/c it was just as long but better... maybe b/c half the time the characters rn't moaning about how hungry they r...
anyways it was very good, one of my faves (i've got a lot of faves...)

after i have finished LOTR.
Strange thing was...Eragon was recommended to me by my brother (elder to me by 20months). He aint usually the book type (aside from Pratchett). Apprently Eragon outsells Potter in America. He says Eldest puts Eragon to shame. So I have high hopes

terry pratchett is hilarious. i actually don't know what I like better, eragon or eldest. i'd put aside LOTR without hesitation to read eragon, but if you actually enjoy it, i understand why you'd want to finish the book.

the only one i read was FotR and I absolutely couldn't stand it. I tried twice to read it. the second time i finally finished it, and I'm not going to bother doing the same with the rest.
