Well, the above have now achieved 26 out of the 30 most recent posts with their mind-numbingly stupid activities.
The only solution is for moderators now to ban all posting by guests, to authorise applications for membership quickly and to chuck off the forum anyone who posts rubbish.
It's quite wrong for Lavita or Duchessa to have to waste their time deleting this stuff.
If the spammers read this - though it's probably done by nanobots - please know you are not impressing anyone unless you are going for the record on most boring people in the universe.

Duchessa and me are powerless to do anything except delete spam, unless Anni turns up to ban guests from the forum

This is SO lame but I can moderate every board so that only registered members can read them, which would make it impossible for unregistered members to post.

That is a very nice Christmas present to us all. We can now win back our site from the spammers.
Now all we need is for Anni to give you guys powers to approve members. Meanwhile if anyone out there wants to write to me about the three existing books or two (at least) new ones, you can do so on stravaganza@maryhoffman.co.uk
And we all owe Duchessa a big vote of thanks for all that tedious work. May she find a Luciano lookalike in her stocking - but not in a weird cross-dressing way. Not that there's anything wrong with that - I love Eddie Izzard.

Haha, no problem at all, I'm just glad it's done!
Anyway, yes, Merry Christmas and I do v. v. v. much hope something vaguelly Eddie Izzardish might turn up in my stocking (ok, so that wasn't exactly what you origonally wished me but close enough)....
Failing that, any of your spare Rufus Sewells, Robert Webbs, Paul Bettanys, Jack Davenports, Sam Wests, Richard Armitages or Michael Rosenbaums would be v.v.v. much appreciated.
