This fanfic is about Arianna and Luciano ^^ I'm very bad with fanfics, please forgive the horrible writing. This is my first try with a Stravaganza fanfic. But I'll try.
Maskless
Freedom. That was the first word that came into Arianna's mind after her wedding. She was free and with Luciano.
Luciano was coming over with food.
"Luciano," she paused and corrected herself. "Your Grace, I have made a decision."
"I'm still Luciano," he replied warmly, placing the food down on the table.
They were in the Palazzo, enjoying a small, private wedding party. There were hardly any guests. Rodolfo and Silvia were, of course, both there along with Leonora and Doctor Dethridge and Guido Parola. Giuditta and Sulien attended, making the long trip from Giglia. Of course, Arianna's foster-family was there, and her grandparents. Gaetano and Francesca were also guests, and, finally, Raffaella and Aurelio, the Manoush.
Luciano reached out and took Arianna's hand.
"What is your decision?"
Arianna paused for a long time, then spoke slowly and deliberately.
"I have decided that I will abolish the mask law but create a new law in honor of our city's name."
"Yes?" whispered Luciano.
"I have decided that my new law will be... that while women are not required to wear masks... any who work in the Palazzo, including the Duchessa, must wear masks."
Luciano gasped.
"But such a sacrifice!" he cried. "You are married and promptly say that you will wear a mask again."
"I have my reasons."
A smile stole across Arianna's face, but she was immediately serious again.
"Tomorrow, we go on our honeymoon to Fortezza, and we will pass Padavia. It means we shall have to make an early start. You must take the talisman tonight."
Luciano nodded, and was about to say something, but Rafaella and Aurelio had begun to play music.
Instead, Duke Luciano Crinamorte of Belezza swept his wife Duchessa Arianna Crinamorte into a beautiful swirling waltz.

Julia was an American, born and raised, but at fifteen she had been sent to England to study music. She lived with her older cousin, Georgia O'Grady, who worked with horses for a living. Julia, despite her coming to England, was still American at heart, and could not really get used to the new culture. Not only that, she was an orphan and had lived with various relatives all her life.
She found a lumpy package on her bed when she ascended the stairs that night to go to bed. Georgia was in her room.
"It came for you."
Julia nodded and slowly unwrapped the parcel. The wrapping, brownish paper, crinkled. After she unfolded it, she stared.
A bluish silk mask adorned with clear bluish jewels lay there.
"What...? How?" she whispered.
"I... unless..." Georgia shook her head. "No, it cannot be."
Julia was very tired. "Well, I'm off to bed," she told her cousin. "Sleep well."
Julia fell asleep, the mask folded in her hand...
I'll write more later. By the way, the title may end up being rather significant in the end... ^^
