edtheapricot, I just want to say well done for being individual and admitting you are an apricot. I think we all are deep down, so well done for being open about it.

For Alex - The Witches is a story about a boy who has an encounter with some witches. The boy's parents die at the start of the book and he has to go and live with his grandmother who tells him about witches. They are not like ordinary witches. They are bald and have claws and blue spit! The boy meets some witches (who devote their lives to hunting and "disposing" of children) and gets turned into a mouse by them and he has to defeat them even though he's a mouse. It sounds rubbish but it's actually really good. I am really looking forward to seeing the play because I think it will be really good to see how they do the witches taking off their masks and also the boy getting turned into a mouse. They might use puppets or masks for the mouse parts. I'll post a review of it or something once I've seen it. Incidentally, the hotel they used in the film version of the Witches is the Headland Hotel at Newquay. That's just the other side of Cornwall, so quite near to where I live! Random fact there I just thought I'd throew it in. ;D Hope that has helped a bit! Chelsae

No I haven't seen either of them, but we were having a dicussion about the Lion King in Drama the other day when we were speculating about the use of puppets or masks for when the boy turns into a mouse in the Witches and how they would do it etc. One girl in my drama class had seen the Lion King and said that people dressed as the animals was really effective or something like that I'll let you know what it was like Chelsae

The musical one or something isn't it? I adore Lord of the Rings...me and my friend are HUGE fans. Isn't the play of LOTR premiering in Canada? If so then you are very lucky. I went to the LOTR exhibition though in the science museum in london. They had the costumes and stuff from the films. It was brill ;D Did anyone else go to the exhibition when it toured to other countries? Chelsae

Ok, for people who've seen lotr (i'm guessing most of u):
Who d'u prefer...... (looks-wise)
Aragorn Frodo Legolas Boromir Faramir Merry Pippin Eomer Sam (??) Gandalf (??????????????????????????)
