o i love europe 2 but i probably won't ever be abe 2 visit any time soon. i think it's so cool to be trekking (as u call it-- how do u travel? bike, hike, car, bus, plane, train...) and I think if i ever had a chance i'd like to travel europe-- 3 sets of clothes, a credit card, a backpack, and a good pair of sneakers. travel some on trains and taxies over large areas and mostly walk through the cities. but i'd need like, unlimited funds because I wouldn't get far in a day and i want 2 see every country, or most of them...
oh by the way welcome back anni!!

ah we should put descriptions of places we've visited on the forum ;D so we can advise other people to part with their cash in order to go there.

Dear lovely Stravaganza fans, I am back on site. I was on the island of Rhodes (not Italy, Greece!) for a week and then I had to chair a big conference of children's writers and illustrators in Oxford all this weekend. So I haven't dropped in on the forum for a while. Welcome to all the Newbies.
I have been writing an adult novel (eight and a half chapters) but must stop by the beginning of October and go back to writing The Falconer's Knot.
I've had lots of ideas for a new Stravaganza trilogy - Padavia, Classe and Fortezza, as Alex rightly revealed. I will keep you posted. The Italian edition of City of Flowers arrived today and I'm doing an event on it at the Italian Institute in London October 10th (evening) if you want to come.

Oh cool..I wish i could come...I wish I could read and understand Italian too (I've learnt my lesson with Spanish..i can read it all, comprehension: very little...). Anyways, great to have you back Mary! ...hope you get to start a little stravaganza writing soon..seems like everyone's done writing a book lately and I find myself waiting for more...
wish there was a machine for it like in that Roald Dahl short story..that would make stuff speed up..hehe (yeah..whatever i say..i'd probably be willing to wait ten years...aah..hopelessly hooked...)
