And anyway, they're cool and there's not enough romance in that film. That's why it's good in the book, it breaks up the tedium of battle after battle and comversations between two people whose names ring a bell from somewhere, but you can't remember where so you have to re-read the previous two books to find out. Did anyone else have that problem?!

I love this film.
I think the best bit is Peter Jackson's cameo.
Where he's in the boat, and then Legolas shoots him with an arrow.
That cracked me up.
And when Gimli is blowing at the ghoulies in the place with all those dead people who deserted one of Aragorn's ancestors.
I'm sure that last sentence didn't make sense.
The scene with Eowyn standing in Rohan, and the camera pans in, that scene is so funny, because they reversed it. Originally it was a close up going out. You can see everything is reversed, by the way her dress moves.
So funny.
And the cast commentary. I love that. Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan.
"I love Minas Tirith"
Okay. I'm going to stop now, because once I get started on Lord of the Rings, I never shut up.
Love Kat.

I thought the drinking game was pretty good..but the Houses of Healing is my favourite scene ;D with the Eowyn shot - it was meant to be the shot used of her watching the Rohirrim ride away but in re-shoot they had to alter it and also put her story together so it was put in a different place Kat - did u see some others of the production team in the Corsairs scene...a lot of them camoed as the pirates SHUT ME UP SOMEBODY!!!

I know that he was in every film. At least that's what someone told me. I have obsessedly watched all of the commmentary. I am dying for Fellowship Extended, I have the other 2. Yep, I saw them Yep, I do love it. Yep, I like to say yep. Houses of Healing was great. I loved that. There should have been more... But I guess it would sort of make the film too long. I love the bit in Two Towers, where Aragorn kicks the helmet. Because Viggo broke his toe. I find that hilarious. Love Kat.

Peter Jackson did cameos in every LOTR film
Fellowship: man in Bree eating a carrot TT: Wildman and also a crazed defender of Helm's Deep <chucking spear> ROTK: Corsair pirate
me fave scene in Fellowship EX is the Woodelves leaving for the Grey Havens..seen by Sam and Frodo as they are leaving the Shire..also love the gift-giving scene in Lothlorien ;D

Hey i love LOTR and i like looking 4 the crew in their little cameos. In Rohan in the background of the drinking game you can see Howard Shore looking a bit drunk and laughing with some other Rohirrum people. Did u know that Andy Serkis (gollum) did the voice of the witch king and basically all the orcs that captured Merry and Pipping in the TT? lol i its cool that he can do so many different voices!
Anyway, one bit that confused me in the Extended Edition was that you know when aragorn looks in the Palantir in Minas Tirith and it shows him Arwen and then the Evenstar falls and smashes? He dreamt that it would happen in dunharrow, so thats cool. But still, in Arwen's vision of her son she sees him wearing the Evenstar necklace. Did she fix the old one that was broken (unlikely because it looked very broken to me) or did they make a new one? Can anyone explain this? Oh well
just a quick thought (or not so quick?)

kallia...i was trying to work out that same thing...continuity doesnt fit does it? My only thought is that the only way to show it was Arwen's son was using the Evenstar..and it is a shadow of the future which can alter slightly

hey don't wreck the film by digging too deep it spoils the magic. That is the magic of the film (figure of speach) not magic magic! sorry i confused ne1

Hey lavita thats a good point, you're probably right. Thanks! i was just kind of confused when I first saw the extended edition rather than the theatrical one because i didn't think that the Evenstar would actually break. Oh well. And princessoffishes, sorry if you don't like what i said, i was a bit confused and just thought it could be a point to discuss. My friend would say i'm 'nit-picking' and probably am. I guess i've seen the movies so many times that i pick up these kind of things (its quite sad actually) btw i was so glad that they put the houses of healing in, it's a beautiful scene. Somewhere on the extended edition extra stuff Peter Jackson explains why he left out the Scouring of the Shire. I still would have liked to see it anyway.
