This is such a FABULOUS film..with some brilliant parts added in to tie off lose ends and to please fans eg The Houses of Healing is a really beautiful scene..and the drinking game between Legolas and Gimli is hilarious!

ahem..Mary Hoffman! The Saruman scene is in the extended dvd..due to certain factors...the scouring of the shire chapter (which i thought was pointless anyway) has been ignored completely...and Saruman dies in the earlier "Road to Isengard" an extended scene of Aragorn etc picking up Merry and Pippin

I haven't seen it yet! But one of my friends has and she has been gushing over it horribly. I hope I will get to see it soon as I do love The Two Towers extended edition, all the added scenes do add so much into the film.
*sighs wistfully...*

Now I've seen it... And i LOVE it!! The houses of healing are cool and Eowyn and Faramir are cool, but they should have put more of them in.

My God, didn't it drive you insane? The Faramir-Eowyn thing was about four chapters in the books, and then in the film it was A LOOK......from which we were meant to extrapolate the whole affair....aaaaaaaaaaaaagh and I have been forever ruled out from the category of 'people who have seen/own the extended version' because I HAVEN'T GOT A DVD PLAYER!!
I am distressed.

David Wenham
the fact there was so little on Faramir/Eowyn...was simply to establish it without breaking focus on the central storyline
