i've been looking around and i can't find any place to post about my #1 major obsession even over books-- sports!!! ;D ;D ;D my travel softball team, the carolina baseburners, just placed silver in the AAU nationals. we almost beat the team we were playing, the denver dazzle, but in the last inning our shortstop got hurt really bad and two runners scored while she was laying on the ground crying. :'(oh well. i also ski race, and i play volleyball and soccer 2. well, anyone else? rosie

o and btw i live in wilmington ny, and that's like right next door 2 lake placid, so i grew up knowing the story about the 1980 team. who was ur favorite? ( my dad knew some1 with acess to the tapes of all the games, so we've got a copy of the soviet game, the finland game, and the czech game) miracle is 1 of my faves.

*peers around* no giant man-eating crocs here! it's in the 70s right now but rosie's right lake placid and mirror lake will start freezing up late november and the water's still pretty chilly even now. i'd feel almost sorry for any crocodile that managed to make it 2 lake placid!

this is beamerr but my account was finally approved. I can't play many sports because of a leg problem, i'm not allowed to run and sometimes i can't even walk. But i do try, i ride my bike sometimes and ski in winter but taht's about all i can do. I love soccer though, and if i could play, i'd definetely play!

I don't do sports apart from roller blading (i'm ace ) (ok that wasn't very modest. I correct myself. I consider myself moderately good) and ice skating - i'm quite good. Otherwise... I fail dismally and I don't even know where the ball is most of the time. But I can do rounders (i finally learnt how to hit the ball - properly!)
