hey guys, I'm kinda new here lol Yep I'v read the book and OMG IT ROCKED, it is the best book ever, well Harry is awesum too so... and after i finished it my head was spinning hey, so much happened. I hope there is more then just a trilogy? I couldn't put it down Ok back to the topic....Characters! Well first of all LUCIANO AND ARIANNA, like you guys i was worried it wouldn't happen for a moment but she put it all on the last page and it was soo cute ;Di read it millions of times...i absolutely love luciano (hot!). Through COS i was worried they wouldn't work out with all the jealousy and not knowing if they each loved each other and all... Sky: His character was really nice and funny but i didn't feel as connected with him as the others for some reason... Gerogia and Nick/falco: Georgia seemed really diff. in this book and so did Nick esp. He was really different from the Falco we knew. I was surprised though by them getting together, I had always thought cesare, but then again he was more like a brother and he did live in another world.... and them staying in there world instead of Talia? leaving it forever? Why? I understand for them but if it were me i wouldn't have been able to give it all up so easily. Frankly Alice annoyed me, but i understood her reasoning in a way. Rodolfo and Silvia, adorable. Sandro and his dog were so cute! i absolutely loved him and sulien was v. nice. The end part with the duel...wow the suspense it was really good. Left alot unfinished though didn't it? Luciano and arianna's wedding, The enrico busines... Ok Sky's father/Rainbow, well i thought the part with him was funny, he does have a dirty mind tho lol... But about Sky and Alice, Wouldn't it be wierd if their parents married? they might be like stepbrother and sister...witht hem going out aswell.... I'm gonna stop now because my hands hurt from typing and I'm probably ranting now, I'v posted so much...for me anyway... Xoxo

HEY!! I'm not demented!! Tru!! *grumble grumble* At least I got lotsa answers to my questions..so ha! oh right..yeah..I never did do one of those big write ups when i was done but yea it was awesome. I was reading over bits again after I met Mary and there's this one Luciano/Arianna moment that i love..hee hee (other that the last page): You know at the wedding when Sandro and Brother Tullio are dancing around in circles and Fratello is running around? and Luciano and Arianna are talking:
"Don't they look happy?" "Sandrio and Tullio?" "Rodolfo and Silvia, silly"
hee hee..silly! ..I think I like that word because of animal crossing the game..this one character says silly in the cutest way...

Well, I would feel sorry for them, but there are none. There was my brother, but he left, but that wasn't too great a loss...

Sandro and his little dog were the cutest thing EVER! For awhile I thought he might switch places with Falco and get the family he always wanted, but that would have made things WAY complicated.
Luciano and Arianna. Sigh. I wish there had been more romance with them, but I'm happy they're getting married.

I know, the whole last page thing was v. v. cute, but they could have had that AND had a little romance beforehand. Ah, but we can't tell Mary how to write her own book. Or we could, but I doubt that she'd welcome it. Or maybe she would. OK, I'll shut up now.

Okay here's my opinion on the characters, Sky: He was okay, i didn't particularly like him much though, he was too....I don't know how to say it....He didn't take enough risks and stuff, he was always too worried about what would happen at home, i mean i like that, but he just so much different from teh other stravaganti. I don't really have words to explain it lol.
Luciano: OMG i was so afraid he was actually going to go along with the plan to go back to his old world, i was like noooo not again lol. And if they did that, both of them probably would have died, because they've already done it once and died in their world, so if they went back, they'd probably die and the portal between the 2 worlds would be soo messed up. But yeah, i was so afraid he would go along with it just so he would be able to see his parents and he would have to leave arianna too. That would have been sooo crazy since they love each other so much. I think Luciano is my favorite character in teh whole book, because he cares about everyone so much. He's so sweet.
Georgia: I like Georgia a lot too because she's not the 'just go with it because everyone else wants me to' type, she's the rebelious type that will do what she thinks is right. Like when she was supposed to give up the winged horse, she stuck with what she thought she should do, even though she felt really bad about it. I probably would have done the same thing. I also liked in the end how she went for Falco, and realised that Luciano would never get together with her. I liked that she realised that Falco was who she really liked.
Gaetano: Man that scared me, because i really like Gaetano, he's so sweet, i was afraid that he would die...
Falco: He's one of my other favorites. I'm a lot like him. Hes so nice, but i was afraid he'd go back to his old world as with Lucien. I like him in the 21st century more than in talia, because he hasa lot of courage and determination and i like that. Hmm...I dunno I just really like him.
Well that's about it for now, i'll keep adding though most likely.

YEA I HAV DREAMS TO ANYWAY IM SO HAPPY ARIANNA AND LUCIANO ARE TOGETHER ;D it shows how good at writting mary hoffman is. the belong hey? L & A this is what someone else wrote and its very nice ps. L & A forever
They had always known it would not be a usual engagement. When you are Duchessa of a great city-state, it is generally taken for granted that your chances of an impulsive, untidy, romantic wedding are pretty limited. You will marry in state and formal glamour, something which bears no great resemblance to anything at all romantic. The Duchessa of Bellezza knew this very well. Her engagement would be long and complicated, formally celebrated by her people on its announcement and yet not something to be paraded too openly before the actual wedding.
They often had cause to resent this. No moonlight strolls, there was too much risk of being seen by an unsuspecting citizen. No long mornings spent solely in each other’s company, she was hardly able to snatch five minutes alone to herself! No holding hands or similar shows of public affection, they may be publicly engaged but there were still rules! Luciano found this especially hard to deal with. Where he came from (Anglia, so most of his subjects-to be were told) it was simply unheard of for someone of his age to have a girlfriend he had almost to pretend he wasn’t seeing. As for Arianna, well, reigning back her emotions was not exactly something she relished, but she had had several dull years of experience.
Yet they had their moments...
It was the little things, the tiny things they could do. A glance across a crowded dining table, the brush of fingertips on fingertips when passing in a corridor, a snatched, lonely, moment whilst touring the islands, a smile as he handed her into a mandola. They were so small, but they meant everything. The list went on.
Rodolfo understood. He would call for the Duchessa to host her father, “step”-mother, fiancée and future in-laws in a private assembly room and then draw the rest of the party away from his daughter and future son-in-law. There was little chance of completely abandoning them in a room together but rooms in the palazzo were large, it was sometimes impossible to overhear something said at the other side of a room if you simply raised your voice just a little to cover it. He had had plenty of practice at secretive love. Even more secretive than theirs. There were plenty of tricks worth noting.
Dances were especially glorious times, dancers allowed to get close together in as intimate a way as the music being played would allow without causing raised eyebrows. Strategically set out dinner placings was also a tactic worth employing. No one too unfamiliar close to the Ducal couple, friends and the understanding few nearby…hands held under tables... A Secret Passageway... It was just the little things that sustained them. The Simple Things.
heehee, what d'you think? xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
