eta: OK. Peter there is distinctly very HOT. Yum. *drools* Though I still adore his nobility.

I'll be his damsel in distress ANYDAY... particuarly if I'm stuck in a tower surrounded by a moat...

Ignoring the debate of the attractiveness of the cast - please note that I am a film studies student; I HAVE to be critical.
Tilda Swinton - VERY well cast as Jadis, I think it was her role in Constantine that bought her the ticket to Narnia. Tumnus was a good find too.
I wasn't impressed with the costumes at all. They lacked authenticity. post LOTR...authenticity would equal necessity. Praises to the skills of Richard Taylor and WETA! SFX as yet unbeatable.
Mary - a note on the poor-deceived polar bears pulling 'her majesty's' sleigh....remember even the trees were bamboozled and coaxed into becoming elusive spies.
The music i was commenting on was largely the Narnian lullaby played by Tumnus. It stuck in my mind more so than any other track of which I have only vague recollections of.
The battle was indeed unimpressive..lacking awe...lacking anticipation, tension. Perhaps to bring more focus on the personal inner-turmoil struggle of the protagonists or the more sorrowful aspects like Aslan..focus on the deep magic. Another theory is so it would not be compared to LOTR by focusing on visual thrill as opposed to the heart of the story.
In many ways I prefer the books because you live the stories more due to the fact that you put yourself within them..you bring words to life by use of your own imagination and therefore relate better to what is transpiring before your eyes.
Like many I hope for a Stravaganza film - but I severely hope it is created true...and captures the heart of the magic that we all love

wow, everyone has such interesting things to say about the movie, its good to read, makes me think more about it, when i saw the movie it was in school time so i couldn't go back and write what i thought down like i did with Harry Potter # 4... The one thing about Peter being gorgeous and seeing it with school that really pissed me off was the other girls who would keep yelling before and after the movie that peter was so hot and even through the movie me and my friends got really annoyed..... Yeah, i agree with Lavita, books make me think more too!
So is the whole C.S. Lewis series going to be filmed? I hope so....

Hey, did you know that William Mosely, like goes to my school? And I have a friend, and every time we pass him in the corridor, she either starts practically screaming: "Will Mosely!" in his face, or nearly faints. It's sorta annoying. And all the girls pester him in the canteen for his autograph. But it is kinda nice to see him close up........ he puts the other six form boys to shame....

okay, back to what anni said, I don't think william mosely was Hot hot. I think he was just so good and not Hot hot that made him so appealing. a good guy, with faults and an honest, but not drop dead gorgous, face. as for the wet peter, I wasn't paying any attention. too wrapped up in the suspense. i think the battle scene was wonderful. but maybe that's because I haven't seen LotR.

Um............Its march '06 now..................OH MY GOD! did ya know that they already started the process of making 'Prince Caspian'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oh and whoever said that william mosely should be in all the movies, sorry but it wouldn't make sense because after prince caspian, peter and susan can't come back (except in the horse and his boy, 'cause its taking place in the 'golden age' of high king peter and then when peter comes back in the last battle and is in 'the real narnia' (sorry if I spoiled it if you haven't read the books)) so sorry peter/william can't be in all the movies. Will goes to your school!!!!!!??!!!!!!!!! ?what school do you go to? ? -Ari

Well, it was funny, cos I was surfing the proboards the day before yesterday in the IT rooms, and I looked at the person sitting next to me out of the corner of my eye (it's rude to stare ) and I nearly fell out of my chair.... Cos he was sitting right next to me, which kinda freaks you out..... and my friends were flicking him glances every now and then... including princessoffishes.... It's quite cool, but you don't really make a fuss, like my other friend did. She practically screamed will mosely in his face, and he gave her such a look, and I felt really sorry for the guy. Does he have a website? Cos I'm not sure if it's public which school he goes to... or is it? He's in the sixth form of my school.

Yeah, but she's getting better now, isn't she? Or maybe she just hasn't seen him in a while.

they're filming prince caspian! awesome!! btw my favorite of the series is voyage of the dawn treader, i always loved it. prince caspian was rather dull to me, as was the silver chair. very excited that they are keeping the order in the way CS Lewis wrote it. all of the boxed sets order it chronologically, but i read it the way my mom read it to me, lion, the witch and the wardrobe, prince caspian, voyage, horse and his boy, silver chair, magicians nephew, last battle. i think that's the order, i can't remember. i'm so out of the book loop, i hang out with all the soccer players at school now, haven't picked up a book at home in weeks, literally...

hey, if you want william moseley in a stravaganza movie so much, he would make a really good Tom, Luciano's best friend from back home who comes to visit when he's sick? that would be a nice part to get him in.

Hmmmm... the young lad's probably ambitious... And his hair's really long now, and it looks awful. If he cut his hair, he could be good... *thinks about it* Yeah, I like that idea!
